I have been asked by a Start-up to help create some advertising pictures for their social media and website. After taking a look at the product and having a few brainstorming meetings, we came up with a plan on how to tackle this project.
I did my due diligence on advertising products of a similar type. I compared different styles, such as Beauty Vs Fashion and came up with our own take on a few ideas.
The product is an Everyday Sun Protection Cream, for people of colour. Yes, the Melanin in our skin needs protection too.
Using my local market to find props and decorations for the shoot, I set up the studio for the shoot with the CEO watching over. Their input was paramount to getting the right shot, angle, and end result.
Creating commercial artwork for product photography is not always as easy as you might think. There is a lot of post work needed to get the finished article. But it is always achievable if you think backwards and work forwards. I know that sounds confusing, but it works. Basically, look at the bigger picture, think about what you wish to achieve as your final
